1. Who We Are

Comic Sanctum LLC (“Comic Sanctum,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a South Carolina limited liability company that sells collectible and graded comic books online and at comic book events. We operate the website comicsanctum.com (the “Site”) and sell through our own online store, third-party marketplaces, and in person at events.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to information we collect through the Site, through our email and text-message communications, through forms you submit to us (including contests, giveaways, and sign-up forms), and in the course of fulfilling orders placed with us directly.

Purchases you make through third-party marketplaces (for example, eBay) are governed by that marketplace’s own privacy policy and terms in addition to ours. We only receive the information those marketplaces share with us to fulfill your order.

3. Information You Provide to Us

When you place an order, enter a giveaway, or contact us, we collect the information you give us, which may include:

Name (first and last)
Email address
Phone number
Billing address
Shipping address
Order and purchase history
Any information you include in messages to us

We do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our servers. Payment details are handled directly by our payment processor (see Section 6).

4. Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect:

IP address and general location
Browser and device type
Pages viewed, links clicked, and time spent on the Site
Referring website
Cookie and similar-technology identifiers

We currently use Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the Site. As we add additional analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this Policy and our cookie disclosures to reflect them.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Process, fulfill, and ship your orders
Send you transactional messages about your purchases (order confirmations, shipping and tracking updates, and service notices)
Respond to your questions and provide customer support
Administer contests and giveaways you enter
Send marketing and promotional emails and text messages when you have consented (see Sections 7 and 8)
Measure and improve the performance of the Site
Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues
Comply with our legal obligations

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share your information only as needed to run our business, specifically with:

Payment processor — to process your payments securely. We use the Authorize.Net payment gateway. Your payment card details are provided directly to Authorize.Net and are not stored on our servers.
Shipping carriers and shipping software — we use Shippo to purchase and manage shipping, and ship primarily through USPS, UPS, and FedEx. These parties receive the information needed to deliver your order and provide tracking.
Our email and CRM/SMS platform — we use Gmail SMTP to send transactional email from the Site, and GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) and its SMS carrier partner to send marketing email and text messages to subscribers who have opted in.
Analytics providers — such as Google, to help us understand Site usage.
Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Comic Sanctum, our customers, or others.

Each of these parties is permitted to use your information only to provide services to us, not for their own purposes.

7. Email Marketing

If you opt in, we send marketing and promotional emails through our CRM platform (GoHighLevel). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Opting out of marketing email does not stop transactional messages about orders you have placed.

8. Text Messaging (SMS/MMS)

Consent. By providing your phone number and checking the applicable consent box, you agree to receive text messages from Comic Sanctum LLC at the number provided. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchase or of entering any giveaway.

Types of messages. Depending on which consent you give, messages may include order and shipping updates, giveaway confirmations and winner notifications (non-marketing), and/or promotional offers, new arrivals, and event announcements (marketing).

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or email Ch*****@**********um.com.

Your mobile opt-in information is never shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. It is used solely to deliver the messages you have consented to receive, through our CRM/SMS provider.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Site functions. Where required, we will present a cookie notice and honor your choices for non-essential cookies.

10. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, fulfill orders, comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Site and our services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at Ch*****@**********um.com and we will delete it.

Our marketing emails and text messages, and entry into our giveaways and contests, are intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly enroll minors in marketing communications.

12. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

Access or correct your information by contacting us
Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message
Opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP
Request deletion of your personal information, subject to information we must retain for legal or transactional reasons

Because we do not sell personal information, no “do not sell” action is necessary. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws; contact us and we will honor rights that apply to you.

13. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites and marketplaces. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.

15. Geographic Scope

We currently sell and ship to customers within the United States through this Site. (International sales, where offered, are made through third-party marketplaces such as eBay and are subject to those marketplaces’ terms.)

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
